Yes, I know I already posted one of these over on my facebook page. But I have give you a couple more and repeat……. I am completely overwhelmed by the JOY these two radiate and have for each other. I may or may not be in tears this am. So grateful to be connected to couples like this pair.
Meet this little man! Isn’t he adorable. He has strengthened my heart and my faith. How do you ask? This child is a gift. A blessing that the Lord perfectly orchestrated. It’s so beautiful to see that these two are his perfect parents. I felt like a big crowd was singing “allelulia” when I saw these three together. Really I did, I know I am a nerd but I just get so fired up when I see the Lord’s work in those around me. Nothing fires me up more.
I so often doubt while I am in the middle of the storm. In the middle of a trial. Don’t we all? We are human and weak and we are afraid. We try our hardest to do what we can, everything we can. We plan, we prepare, we plan some more and yet sometimes we still have to wait. We have to be faithful. Trust and Wait some more. Even when it doesn’t make any sense or doesn’t seem fair.
Yet, this little mans adorable cheeks, perfect little hands and feet remind me that the Lord has the BEST timing and the BEST ways. He is faithful. He is enough. He is good. He is sooooo worth the wait.

…..Well almost baby in the woods. Baby in-momma’s-tummy-in-the-woods. This amazing couple met me on one of the steamiest days this year to capture some of their family of soon to be three. Little did I know when I would ask them how long they had been married, they would reply with “Exactly a year today!” They celebrated their anniversary night with me capturing images of this special time. Honestly how sweet and perfect. So to make their night even better, I had to send them with of my favorite restaurants in the city as a recommendation and even sent them with a exactly what to order list (112 Burger all, Boston Bibb, Gnocchi w/ parmesan reggiano, and of course the Butterscotch Budino) all things before my gluten free/dairy free life I drooled over! They wrote me later to say it was all so nummy! Alright I obviously need to get started on dinner as I think I am drooling right now.
I can’t wait to meet their little peanut who is expected any day now!
And of course, I can never pass up the opportunity to be a little dorky. So I asked this mommy-to-be if her belly could fit in the tree and we grabbed the obvious “there’s a baby in there” shot.
Someday’s I really struggle with wanting to experience and talk to the Lord. I want to know his thoughts, his plans and why I am so stinkin’ impatient and why my heart is unruly at times (hello old nature). Sometimes I mistake this feeling for nervousness, being hungry or bored. I have come to the conclusion that most of the time I believe my soul is thirsting for the Lord (great insight after I have tried everything else, right?). I turn to 1,203 other things before I get smack on the head and realize that all I need to do is turn to Him. I don’t need another faith book (even though I love them, especially this one, and they are amazing too) I need to be focusing on THE book. Um, yea that book God wrote? That is still applicable today in this very moment.
Gina (here is the part where I talk to myself). Even though God doesn’t physically live next door, He is there. God can’t hold your hand G, but he can hold your heart and even though it feels lonely at times He is just one step away. See him through others, dig into the bible, even when your body & mind don’t feel like it. ASK for Him for help. See him in Sunsets… through trials and triumph… through tragedy and the aftermath. Remember when you saw these two in California?How present God was?! How much your heart was lit on fire for the Lord when you hugged them?! Their testament proves that God knows best. God has perfect timing and HIS plan is for your good. Remember all the battles he has already fought for you? Remember all the time he has been faithful. Trust. Trust. Trust.

The Annual Fall Mini Sessions are here! The holiday season will be here before you know it! Fall sounds just delightful these blistering hot days. Get your christmas card photos done in the beautiful fall colors. Join me this fall to capture some memories of your family, your children or grab some great couple or maternity images. Don’t do Christmas cards? This is also a very affordable way to get some great lifelong memories of your current family. I can’t wait to meet you! I promise your session will be filled with laughter, goofiness and giggles.
I have limited spaces this year. Grab your spot while they are still here. Spots are first come first serve. You have the option to pay your deposit by check or online. To book reserve you a spot by emailing me at [email protected] with a first and second time choice. Then I will email you back with your secured spot. If deposit is not received with-in a weeks time your spot will be opened up. There is a limit of five people per session, but there is an add-on option for others.

I just love lifestyle work! These are some goodies from 2012 sessions!
In February 2011, I met this awesome girl named Noel in Vegas at the Making Things Happen Intensive we had during WPPI. This woman’s vision blew me away. Not only because she was this tall, beautiful and crazy talented professional Sand volleyball player, but her heart shined straight through the ceiling. She described her vision for where she wanted to take her business, her Wahine Beach Volleyball Club. I could see it SO clearly and as I coached AAU basketball (same age of her club teams) it completely struck a chord within me. I knew she would do it. But who knew that a year and a half later I would be with this exact club and as she envisioned, embarking on the first big Girls Making Waves trip in Kauai. Noel brought me in on this trip to capture the true essence of her Wahine. Literally her email consisted of “Hey, I want to shoot my team like a Roxy Ad” and I replied with “Are you kidding me, I might of just peed my pants in excitement!!!!????!!!!!” Noel is in the midst of launching her new brand and website. We shot countless images and video during our time in Kauai. I will talk all about how amazing the trip and this team and what they are about in another post in more detail, but take a peek some of the images created for her brand. I am in love…..as in these all might be canvases in my house soon!
