I pulled up to this coast with this song playing in my ears, let the group go ahead, and just stood there. breathing. watching. feeling it build like a crescendo. every mental tab closed. just like that. I had forgotten the feeling of being fully immersed in a moment. if you’re a mom and a business owner you know how rare that is. protect these moments. craft them (like getting away with industry leaders) they’re not a luxury. they’re how you come back to yourself. 🌊 so tell me, what’s your version of this? is it the water + music for you too?
Maybe it’s because I’ve spent 17+ years photograph Maybe it’s because I’ve spent 17+ years photographing people, but I just don’t think you can fake connection lol. You can generate a beautiful image, grab a stock photo, and create something that *technically* checks all the boxes. But can people FEEL your team, personality, and the experience of working with you? Because THAT’s the stuff that matters. When I look at the brands I personally love and trust, it’s rarely because everything is perfectly polished, but because they feel REAL. And tbh, I think we’re heading into a season where that’s going to matter even more. The more AI we see, the more people crave real stories, real businesses, real humans, and brands that feel HUMAN. That’s why I’ll keep betting on real people every single time. What do you think, are we seeking more humanity with the influx of AI??
Commercial photography is rarely about the product Commercial photography is rarely about the product or service itself. When it comes down to it, people want to know who they’re inviting into their homes, who they’re trusting around their family, and who they’re spending their hard earned $$$ with. And that’s exactly what we did with Reflections! We weren’t just photographing a window cleaning company, we were helping people see the faces, personalities, and heart behind the business AKA build TRUST. What’s making you trust or NOT trust a biz these days?

But if your brand photos stop there, they’re probably not working as hard for your business as they could be &&&& SHOULD BE. Your imagery should help people understand who you are, what it feels like to work with you, what makes your brand different, and WHY they should trust you in the first place. And to make that happen your imagery needs… → to show the energy of your business → the process + experience of working with you → your team (the people + SOUL of the business) → & the personality, mission and the heart behind the business That’s the stuff people actually connect with. Because people don’t just buy because something looks pretty, they buy because something feels real, aligned, trustworthy, and human.
