Somebody pinch me. I just finished a two hour workout and now sitting in a coffee shop after I devoured the most amazing organic Chicken wrap, paired with a soy honey latte. I seriously can’t believe this is my life. I feel so utterly blessed. Don’t get me wrong, I am still working like a dog i.e. 12-14 hour work days, but I am splitting it up with things I enjoy. Hot yoga, iced tea with pearls (my summer break from chai), and workouts outside in the beautiful MN summer.
I am also getting a chance to do many little projects on the side. I have a huge passion for helping out small businesses. Whether it’s freshening up their blog or website, lessons on social media, etc. if you have a great thing going I want to help you tell people about it. It gives me yet another way to push myself creatively and in my own business while providing a nice break from the usual tasks of emailing and editing.
Oh and I did turn another year older this July, which freaks me out a little bit! I have always had a timeline of having at least one baby by the time I am 30. I just can’t imagine having a kid anytime soon, I am just getting the hang of myself these days. Having a lil’ Zeidler running around, not currently in the playbook. 3-5 years?
Lastly, this month I received a call from the wonderful Lara Casey asking me to document the fall tour of MTH2010. I almost fainted. I am so elated and grateful to be a part of something that has been such a big part of my personal journey. The darling Emily Ley is also going on tour, the moment I got off the phone with Lara, Emily and I had a squeal fest via phone. So, if you haven’t checked out MTH2010 yet, read what the Alumni have to say, or better yet do this post and if it speaks to you, I encourage you to look at the dates and attend. I look forward to meeting all the attendees, many of the cities are close to full so be sure to reserve your seat!
Ok. Really last one. Here are my July self portraits taken in my new favorite location to return emails..my hammock. This is a perfect representation of my “beach” hair aka. been in a ponytail for 3 days, I should probably wash it, hair.
Love you. So much.
You are such a beautiful person inside and out. Who would have ever guessed this Texas girl moving to MN. would have met such a sweet person. I love making beautiful pictures with you…. 😉 You are such a bblessing to our family…. Can’t wait for you to meet Lylah too.
The hammock sounds like a FABULOUS place to return emails! I love it!
Gina, I thought the same thing about having a kid by the time I was 30. We didn’t start trying until I turned 31ish and now, 2.5yrs later, we’re not so sure it will happen, so it’s a tough decision to make!! You guys are still in your twenties, so you have plenty of time! Would love to attend MTH some day. I’m focusing more on my photography aspirations and hope to MTH in 2010/2011! I love your blog and it’s a great motivator and an inpiration!!
Gina, just wanted to say hello, congrats (MTH is lucky to have you) and from one chaiholic to another pass on this recipe:
Banana Spiced Chai (I recently found this drink in Kauai), blend 1/2 cup chai, 1/2 cup milk, banana and a few cubes of ice!
So, I pulled up your blog tonight – anxious to see your latest post. Dylan said, “who’s that lady?” and I told him, “That’s Gina, remember she took our pictures?!?” to which he replied, “Oh, yeah, Gina. I love Gina!” So true. And then he asked if I had a frog in my ear. Take what you will, but it is awesome to see your journey through your blog – good job!
Beautiful, simply beautiful picture. You are going to have a great time with Lara. What a group of amazing people, I am so glad I read your reflections – your such a positive gal. Love you, seriously. Keep on rockin it!
Congrats Gina! That is so wonderful that you are going to document the MTH tour!!! EEEK!!!! It will surely be the best documented tour ever 🙂 Take care lil’ lady!
