If we are honest we love rules. We want A+B=C every single time. Right? We want to know we are on the right path. The best case scenario.
.
While I don’t think it’s an issue to want the best. I do want to remind my heart of this truth I read today. “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” Luke 5:31-32.
Being busted at times, unhealthy, unorganized, lost or hurting doesn’t mean I am losing. It doesn’t mean I need to get my crap together right now or I am nothing. It doesn’t mean I am a failure. It means that I need a doctor for my soul. A doctor that came and conquered and has the cure. HIS PRESENCE.
Keep on Keeping on y’all, but let’s not forget that we don’t need to make ourselves perfect or righteous by the latest habit, diet or pinterest home hack. Our need makes room for His GRACE. And while I’ll be the first to admit I don’t love being broken, I’m learning to love the cracks that shine HIS LIGHT.
