Rainy Day Grand View Lodge Wedding
We were so grateful the clouds and rain cleared so we could hold the ceremony outside for this must-see Grand View Lodge wedding. The processional down the stairs at the Lodge is NOT TO BE MISSED. It was so breathtaking to see Laura and her mom walk down the aisle, as Laura’s dad passed away unexpectedly in January.
Laura kept a photo of her dad with her all day, tucked away in her bouquet. They also chose a mini strawberry shortcake in to honor him. It was a specialty he often made for Gerardo, even!
During the ceremony, they made sure to include Gerardo’s daughter Adrianne with a knot ceremony. (I’m sure you remember this sweet girl from their engagement session?!)
I loved the details and color in the bridesmaids’ dresses. My bride hadn’t seen them all together until that day and they went together so seamlessly! Speaking of dresses – Laura’s was such a perfect fit. It just seemed to float on her all day. Her bouquet of anemone was the perfect complement.
Even with the rain, it was such a beautiful day and this sweet couple was so relaxed and up for anything! I was all packed up and about to leave, but spied the magical evening light on the stairs and just had to go back!! Laura + Gerardo, may life be full of more magical, unexpected surprises!!
