***Cans for comments update…we are currently at 62 cans. I am going to extend the deadline till this Friday, December 11th. So, lets comment the heck out of my next couple of posts and feed those who are in need. My goal is to hit 150 comments which = 150 cans of food to feed local families. I know we can do it! Remember you can comment on each new post. ***

I took these photos while waiting for clients to arrive in mid November. Late fall  can be a challenging month for us photographers who love natural light. Why you ask? The beautiful fall leaves have dried up and fallen, it is getting colder and colder, and the days get shorter and shorter. At times it can almost be depressing to be in the in between stage of fall and winter.

However this season have been so inspired by the deadness. As much as I love green grass and beautiful flowers,  I just love the color pops and holiday feel these photos have. I especially love the first photo of the dried up pine tree. I think it would be awesome to have a mustard color christmas tree. As I have mentioned before, I have a small obsession with that color right now. What do you think my husband would think if I brought home a burnt christmas tree? Tempting I know. 🙂

I hope these photos also put you in the holiday spirit. At least if they don’t maybe the 6-10 inches of snow that is falling outside right now will. Happy Burnt Christmas.

  1. Hey Gina – I L-O-V-E looking at your photos while I’m bored in class. Gives me something to smile about 🙂 I also just had to leave a comment for a can – what a great idea!

  2. I love, love, love this series!!! I’m sitting in bed watching “Say Yes to the Dress”… wishing I could plan my wedding all over again! Because I’m feeling nolstalgic, I go to your site to check out beautiful wedding pics. And what strikes my fancy?

Your zoom in nature photos. Great work girl!!
You definitely captured the holiday colors that I love. Who needs snow?? It just covers up all the pretty dead stuff! 🙂
