LIFESTYLE IN-HOME SESSION
It’s such a joy to be invited into a family’s home to capture their day-to-day routine. Especially when I am traveling, I love getting an inside peek at from families all over this country. We all do it a bit differently and I just am head-over-heels in love with capturing this element! The real-life moments in a family’s home (even if you think yours is crazy messy or not photo appropriate) are always such an inspiration for me!
I knew photographing Shay Cochrane’s family lifestyle session in Florida would not disappoint!!! Shay is a CRAZY talented photographer and super-successful stylist. Walking into their home, I couldn’t believe the balance of beauty and functionality in the space—and how it was an authentic reflection of the family at the same time! Shay, come decorate my home ANY DAY!
Watching her family enjoy their happy hour—her favorite time of day—when the family puts on fun music and Shay and her husband Graham catch up on their days with red wine while she cooks. Another really special tradition is that Daddy reads to his girls. It was just so fun to see how they cozied up to him and hung on every word!
Lastly, I snuck in on the tradition I need to steal from them the most! They have an amazing backyard swing that looks out into the sunset and Shay and Graham often enjoy a glass of wine and wind down once the girls are in bed. Winner! Seeing Shay, her hubby and their joyful girls connecting as a family made my heart sing! I can’t wait ’till the next time I get to take a peek at their gorgeous Florida home!
