A pink and teal nursery lifestyle newborn session
Y’all. This session has been years in the making. This sweet family has been through so much. You see that sweet Molly Bear (incredible company) above is a beautiful remembrance of their first baby Lyla, who’s days on this earth were much too short. I have photographed this sweet family for the last couple of years, celebrating their son (their rainbow baby) growing and their excitement with their maternity session for this sweet girl! This is why the image above of Lily and her Lyla bear are just making my eyes tear. The two sweet girls cuddling up.
I love every image from this session. A normal newborn session with an older sibling is always a little back and forth with the big brother or sister taking a bit of the lead. Making sure we give them a little love, capturing their routine and room and then we give the sibling some space and photograph the new baby by themselves. Then later, I bring back the older sibling for some family images, and sometimes a little bribing with raisins or a favorite treat is necessary to get everyone in a shot! We pull out all the tricks during these sessions to get what we need!
Lily was a champ. CHAMP. CHAMP! And the facial expressions on this sweet little one are to die for. You know that sweet dreaming smiley newborn face? Yep, we captured it a few times. Insert the crowd going wild!
